Jade International Night Market Volunteer
The Jade District's mission is to promote equitable economic development that benefits
our local small businesses while working to improve the health and well-being of our local
residents. By volunteering at this event, you join us to honor and highlight our rich cultural heritage while also building a more connected Jade District community, and we hope you will be part of it!
Open Studios Helper
Through APANO’s Cultural Work, our community space hosts Open Studios, which is a monthly event for BIPOC community members to create art and develop creativity in a shared space that centers social justice and accessibility.
Open Studios has collaborated with 15 local artists in the past year, inviting them to teach art techniques to the community. Open Studios has over 200 Jade District community members attend these sessions annually, allowing for O82 to continue to offer a safe and accessible space for art expression and learning creative skills.
Free Food Market Helper
The Free Food Market has been an essential service held at our community space held every Friday afternoons. In collaboration with Urban Gleaners, a local non-profit that collects fresh produce and food from businesses before they go to waste, APANO serves between 30-40 Jade District community members and other Portland residents each week with healthy food options from our Free Food Market, for around 1,500 total instances of service within the last year.
Your volunteer time would be essential in helping our team provide free and fresh produce to our Jade District neighbors!
